I find this topic really interesting. Why is it that ppl are ok with the government bailing out companies and businesses while we live in a free market economy? Businesses shut down all the time. If big corporations can't manage their money and can't survive because their ceos are being paid 36 million a year yeah get out of here. I was too rich for grants and scholarships and too poor for my family to have tuition paid for me. Those that pay off their loans that's great but you also support not need to be living on top ramen to do so as well.

I think that is totally legit have wounds by bad experiences, its legit being insecure sometimes, and even being a bit jealous sometimes, BUT you need to understand that this is something you have to try to handle yourself , support the other person 100%. If you love someone you want he/she be with you because he/she choose you, not because you are the only option.

That last call conversation was horrible. They were not helpful at all I got really disapointed. This woman has one of the worst examples of a husband (they got twins! And he was a total a**hole during 1,5 year! and he already had kids before that so it was nothing new to him) and they just ranted her for 5 min for realising that she's married to an as*. Really petty... She has all the right in the world to not want to be married to a person like that. She's probably mourned the whole relationship already in her head and tries to move on and start a new happy life.

I’m 63 and my RN job became so stressful with new management that I quit. I took a local job but lost it Family practice vs UR telenursing and I was fast enough for them. I get a smaller pension in 20 mos., I have 401k of 470k (I had used about 200k of my 401k over about 6 years and we own 4 homes and 2+ acres but only owe about 40k on one of the homes). I paid my moms house off (45k) because she couldn’t pay the MRTG on top of $10k per year of insurance so now she pays me $500/mo and sets aside $500 to self insure in case a hurricane or something happens. We owe about $4k in credit card debt, have $16k in savings and my husband has about $500k in 401k and just turned 62. Our daughters just graduated college last year and have lived next door off and on once left FSU townhouse. We’d like to keep the townhouse for step grandsons in 4 years. I’m in the process of updating that house and bringing it from 1982 to 2024. We could sell it in April if we need to (currently there is still a roommate getting her Masters). We are living on my husbands salary ($5k/mo) but he’s miffed I’m not working. I refuse to go through that stress again - working as RN for 42 years and can’t think as quickly nor do the physical for floor nursing anymore. Ageism is a thing.
